Refereeing Course held in Geneva
18/02/2017 - The future for Swiss rugby referees looks good – no, it looks bright: Saturday, February 18 saw the first course in 2017 for new referees (LCA Course), with a total of 17 participants. Most remarkable: at this course, the women (9) were in the majority! The course was held by Philippe Marguin, referee instructor of the FFR and referee delegate for Comité des Alpes, and Arnold Fries, who introduced the participants to the administrative side of refereeing.
The referee commission would like to thank ACGR president Gianni di Martino, who was also among the participants, for organising the course at the Centre Sportif in Vessy (Geneva) – and thanks also to the ACGR for providing a free lunch to the potential new referees. Gianni di Martino also expressed the desire to hold an annual LCA course in Geneva, with the support of the ACGR.
The next LCA will take place on the 6th of March . For further information please go to http://www.suisserugby.com/education.html.
