World Rugby/FSR Coaching Education Pathway
In order to Coach Children or Youth, a Swiss Youth & Sport coaching certifiction is needed. In order to coach adults a J & S OR a World Rugby / FSR certification can be used.
To coach in the Adult Development Leagues LND and LNF-B, a World Rugby Level 2 Coaching Certificate is needed. To Coach Senior Rugby in the LNC, LNB, and LNF-A, an FSR Level 1-2 Coaching Certificate is needed. To Coach Elite Level Senior Rugby in the LNA, an FSR Level 3 Coaching Certificate is needed.

World Rugby Coaching Courses
The WR Level 1 and 2 Courses are held 2-3 times per year in the "Deutschschweiz" as well as in the "Suisse Romande" Region, in various languages. The dates for the WR Level I Courses are published HERE as soon as they are scheduled. The courses are face-to-face, and are delivered using the following structure:
• Firstly, it uses the principles of attack and defence to give an overview of the game;
• Secondly, it uses key factor analysis to allow you to explain, demonstrate, practise, perform and analyse the skills of the game;
• Thirdly, the game knowledge modules are underpinned by generic modules covering planning, risk management, the role of the coach, communication, child & adolescent growth, Rugby strength and conditioning and the Laws of the Game.
Throughout the course, you will be encouraged to practise your coaching skills. Grasp this opportunity for feedback from your WR Educator and your peers.
EACH OF THE TWO COURSES ARE COMPLETED ON TWO CONSECUTIVE DAYS.

World Rugby Level 1
The World Rugby Level 1 Coaching course aims to develop coaches who know how to coach as well as what to coach. This course is designed to enable coaches to acquire basic skills so that players new to the game learn to play in safe, enjoyable competition.
The presence of sport in a person’s life carries enormous benefits for social, physical and personal development while broadening cultural awareness. Rugby is a uniquely inclusive sport, and you as the coach hold a position of genuine influence over the player’s rate of personal development and their sense of community and self-worth.
Open to: Any coaches, referees, educators, players, managers, administrators of Swiss Rugby clubs.

Certificate: World Rugby Coaching Level 1.
World Rugby Level 2
This course is designed to provide coaches with the skills needed to coach young adult or adult players in the club or school environment.
The World Rugby Level 2 Coaching course aims to develop coaches who know how to coach as well as what to coach.
Open to: Any coaches, referees, educators, players, managers, administrators of Swiss Rugby clubs who have completed the World Rugby Coaching Course Level I.

Certificate: World Rugby Coaching Level 2.
