Switzerland represented in the World Rugby High Performance Academy!

World Rugby has selected around 50 referees to be part of their high-level development program.
Supported by some of the greatest referees of recent years, such as Alain Rolland, Paddy O'Brien, Craig Joubert and Alhambra Nievas, the referees invited to participate represent the future of international refereeing.
Pushed by the FSR and supported by Rugby Europe – who have shown a high interest in promoting Tier 2 and Tier 3 countries to join World Rugby competitions – Ethan Glass, a Swiss referee, joins this very select group of referees.
The Swiss referee manager, Yann Benoit, is proud of this milestone and also confident of the project being a success: "Ethan has the perfect profile to join this academy: he is young, is already on the international circuit, he is ambitious and is supervised by experienced referees (notably Darren O'Brien) on a daily basis. There is no doubt that he is the perfect fit for this elite group. We will continue to support him as best possible; we need Ethan's talent to encourage young Swiss people to referee! ».
The Word Rugby High Performance Academy starts this May with online training (due to the current health situation) before beginning a more ambitious on-field-programme as soon as competitions start again.
Not only a reward for Swiss refereeing, but also for the FSR who continues its growth in all areas of the game.
Best of luck Ethan!
