CANAL+ supports the young rugby players in Switzerland
The Swiss Rugby Union and Canal+ have recently renewed their partnership for 2 more years.
CANAL+ has been a historical broadcaster of Rugby for over thirty years. Therefore, it was only natural that CANAL+ partnered with the Swiss Rugby Union three years ago in order to promote and develop this sport in Switzerland.
For a kid, the ball has always been a symbol of fun, friendship and sharing. Which is why, CANAL+ and the Swiss Rugby Union are happy to offer every young rising star from all Swiss Rugby schools their own branded ball for the season 2017-2018.
A first distribution took place on the occasion of the last SUISSE RUGBY DAY, on Saturday, November 18th, 2017 in Yverdon-les-Bains. More than 200 children were present in the stands of the stadium on this day to encourage the Swiss National Teams. At half-time of the match SWITZERLAND - NETHERLANDS they were able to paraded around the pitch just after Peter Schüpbach, president of the Swiss Rugby Union, and Brice Daumin CANAL+ Swiss’ Director had symbolically offered a ball to young players who represent the rugby schools participating on this day.
Following date will be on the occasion of the next SUISSE RUGBY DAY, on Saturday, 17th March, 2018 in Plan-les-Ouates, for the next step of this operation.
