Why become a Partner of the FSR?
"Shared values, a fast-paced start up mentality and a tenacious motivation for shared growth and success in an exciting “emotion-based” industry represent the key reasons why Ticketmaster is honoured to have entered into a partnership with the FSR."
Which are the common values between your company and Rugby?
"Mutual respect forms the basis of both the sport of rugby and the business of ticketing and promoter services. We work together as a team, we love what we do, and we work hard to share this passion with our clients.
Like the sport of Rugby, Ticketmaster holds in high esteem all its extended team members, clients, organisers and fans. We are committed to providing first-class fan experiences with world-class service, integrity, and innovation:
- Fan quality – We work hard to provide world-class service to our fans, co-workers and internal clients, external clients, and partners. We know we have to earn tomorrow's business success with the quality of today's performance.
- Innovation – We believe in big ideas that create big, game-changing results. We create products that incorporate cutting edge technology, are easy to use and improve the experience of our clients and fans alike.
- Integrity – We are trustworthy and truthful. We hold ourselves to a high ethical standard, and seek to strengthen our relationships with our clients, partners and fans through honest communication and ethical behavior."
How do you see the evolution of Rugby in Switzerland?
"Faced with the many of the same challenges as most start-ups, the FSR will need to secure long-term sponsorship and financing to ensure its sustainability and to have the funds to both develop playing field and training infrastructure as well as increasing the notoriety of the sport in Switzerland.
As Rugby is not a National Sport nor one that, for the moment, brings international prestige by winning medals and International Championships, there is the added barrier of media interest to promote players, clubs and tournaments with the same fervour as they do for other sports.
To attract an increase in public and media attention in the Swiss hyper-mediated sporting environment, the FSR will need to connect with new fans; maintain an ongoing communication with existing ones and entice youth to join clubs at the grassroots level.
It is by leveraging our scope of reach in terms of this audience building and fan communication where the team at Ticketmaster Switzerland hopes to work hand in hand with the FSR to help them achieve the growth of the sport on a regional and national level."
