Swiss November Internationals against Portugal and Moldova to take place in Yverdon
The Swiss National team will face Portugal and Moldova within just 7 days from each other this November, as it makes its debut in the newly named Rugby Europe Trophy, the former European Nations Cup Division 1B, to which it was promoted just this spring after winning Division 2A.
The Municipal Football Stadium of Yverdon will play host to the double-header, by welcoming both home matches of this autumn.
The FSR is very excited to be hosted in the municipal stadium in Yverdon for the first time. Organizing both events in the same location gives it an opportunity to exploit many synergies common to both events, just 1 week apart. In addition, there is a real will by the City of Yverdon to develop rugby in its area, also with a look already towards the future. The FSR is delighted to work together with the Rugby Club of Yverdon in the organization of these events.
Both matches will be hosted in the framework of the now traditional “Suisse Rugby Day” events, with youth activities in the morning, a friendly match as curtain-raiser at 13h00, and the Man match at 15h00.
