Women’s 7s Recap
After a tough start in the group stage with a 10:19 loss to Finland and a heavy quarter-final defeat against eventual tournament winners Türkiye (0:45), our Swiss Women’s 7s team bounced back with grit and determination. Two strong performances in the ranking rounds – a 15:0 win over Romania and a thrilling 15:12 victory in the rematch against Finland – secured a proud 5th place finish in Makarska!

Men’s 7s Recap
Congrats to the Swiss Men’s 7s team and staff for their 5th place finish out of 12 teams in the first leg of the European 7s Series!
Day 1 started with a commanding 26:10 win over Luxembourg, followed by a narrow 17:19 loss to Denmark and a 14:31 defeat to Ukraine. In the quarter-finals, the young Swiss team pushed the eventual finalists Ukraine to the edge, ultimately falling 10:19.
They bounced back on the final day with back-to-back wins against Hungary and host nation Croatia (21:12) to lock in a strong 5th place.
Highlight of the tournament: Four U20 players made their senior debut – proof that the future of Swiss rugby is bright.
