Rahel Bosshard to Represent Switzerland at Rugby Europe’s Women’s Coaching Academy
Exciting times ahead as Rugby Europe launches Women’s Coaching Academy in RWC25 year.
The Swiss Rugby Federation is proud to announce that Rahel Bosshard, former Swiss National Team player and current Regional Technical Director (Northern Switzerland) at Suisse Rugby, has been selected to participate in the inaugural Rugby Europe Women’s Coaching Academy.
The Academy, taking place in Manchester from 28–31 August 2025, will bring together 15 emerging coaches from across Europe. Designed for coaches from developing rugby nations, the program will combine technical and tactical development, leadership training, live match analysis, and exposure to high-performance environments — all set against the backdrop of the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025.
Rahel has been actively engaged with Swiss Rugby for many years, contributing both on and off the field. Her selection is a recognition of her commitment to the growth of the women’s game and her role in developing the next generation of rugby in Switzerland.
Rahel commented:
"I am really excited about this opportunity to meet up with peers at the backdrop of Women's RWC 2025. I am looking forward to putting my new experiences and insights into practice in Switzerland."
The Swiss Rugby Federation congratulates Rahel on this achievement and looks forward to seeing the impact of her participation in this pioneering program.
