Swiss Super 7's Championship

The Switzers achieved a double strike and claimed the Swiss Super 7's championship for their women's and men's team.

Rugby Lugano and the FSR organised the finals of the men's and women's Swiss Super 7's the weekend of July 1-2 in Lugano. During these 2 days, 9 men's teams and 6 women's teams competed in beautiful Ticino weather conditions for the Swiss 7's championship 2022/ 23.

In the wome's competition, the Switzers team won all 5 of its matches and claimed the the 2022-23 season 7's championship.
After a hard-fought match against LUC and under the refereeing of Hannah Kendal - the first female referee to officiate at a men's final in Switzerland -  the Switzers men's team won their challenge and achieved the men's-women's double for the Switzers.

Well done to all the participants, to the team of referees led by Paul Timmins and to Rugby Lugano for this fine tournament, which brings the 2022-23 season to a close for all Swiss clubs.

See you on 15 and 16 July in Magglingen for the European U18 7's Championships, where the elite of European rugby will come face to face.
